Building St Giles’ Bright Future
I’m Rosanne Kirk, your County Councillor candidate for St Giles on May 1st, 2025. With 14 years’ experience in city and county councils, I’ve championed local causes, supported charities like Prostate Cancer UK, and raised over £5,000 for Lincoln Hospital’s Urology Department. As a former Mayor of Lincoln, I’m dedicated to listening to your concerns, taking action, and putting St Giles first. Together, we can build a brighter future for our community.
Priority 1: Supporting Our Lincoln Hospital
Your health is my priority. As Mayor of Lincoln, I raised over £5,000 for the Urology Department at Lincoln County Hospital and campaigned to raise awareness of prostate cancer, keeping health at the heart of our community.
My goals are:
- Championing Social Care: Drawing on my experience as a former Vice Chair of Adult Social Care, I’ll push the County Council to ensure everyone has access to the best care available.
- Focusing on Prevention: Advocating for early intervention services, which save costs and take pressure off the NHS.
- Supporting A&E Services: Working with the community to improve A&E spaces, making them more welcoming and supportive for NHS staff and patients.
Priority 2: A Proven Commitment to Transforming Public Spaces
Our parks and public areas should be places of pride and enjoyment for everyone. As a former County Councillor, I delivered real improvements like Phoenix Park for St Giles, creating a welcoming and accessible space for all.
I’ll focus on:
- Revitalised Green Spaces: Secure funding for upgrades and ensure regular maintenance.
- Cleaner, Safer Areas: Commit to regular cleaning and improved security measures.
- Community-Led Improvements: Partner with residents to design spaces that reflect local needs.
Priority 3: Community Policing and Safety for St Giles
Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community. That’s why I’ll work tirelessly to bring Labour’s Community Policing Guarantee to St Giles.
I’ll push for:
- Increased Neighbourhood Officers and PCSOs: Delivering a stronger, more visible police presence to keep our streets safe.
- Zero Tolerance for Antisocial Behaviour: Dedicated resources to address repeat offenders and ensure a safer community for everyone.
- Community Collaboration for Safety: Partnering with local residents and businesses to make safety a shared and achievable goal.
I want to hear from you!
